Default Taiddan Garage Door Opener

Might be the wrong place to ask but, I see that some of you have this remote.

Mine worked great until I changed the opener in my garage. I can hear the Taiddan receiver click when I hit the high beam but it won't make the door open.

Any suggestions? The Taiddan website isn't any help......

Some of the new garage opener units have circuitry that won't accept the signal. What I've done Is wire the Triddan unit to signal the wall button, then the unit will again work. The signal sends a short circuit to the unit (opener) but newer units will no longer accept the "short" , but if you send the "short" to the wall button and it in turn will send a siginal to the unit that it will accept, your garage door will open. This is kind of a hack to get around the units security. Hope this works for you, I have been successful on Liftmaster, Craftsman, Chainberlin, and Genie units.

Hey, thanks. So, where should I attach the wires? I did wrap them around the screws on the wall switch along with the ones going back to the opener but, that didn't work.

What type unit do you have? I only have a liftmaster here at home and on Monday I will try to take a picture of the circuit board and show you where to attach wires, you will need a soldering gun to attach the wires.

I will try to look today and get back to you, but I do not have a "My Q" wall button so I don't think a pic will do any good. I can explain and I hope it makes sense. When you push the button on a My Q wall button the contact made through the button is sending a signal through the circuitry to the wires connected to the unit. So your signal from the Taiddan unit must also go through this same circuitry. Therefore you need to look at the circuit board in your wall button and find the soldiered points that are coming off that button and place your wires at this point. So when you activate the Taiddan button the wall button "My Q" thinks the signal is coming from the button and sends the signal "through" the circuitry to the unit. This all has to do with the new units and security, Chamberlain when asked will tell you that their newer units are not compatible with the Harley or Taiddan devices. I say they can be tricked.
