Default Handlebar Speakers

If you are looking for something for your Road King, then check out our systems at Steel Horse Audio. We make them to look like stock on the H-D Road Kings and you can actually hear them at highway speeds, guaranteed. Here are a couple pictures:

I don't want tunes...that's why I have a Road King.

But seriously when needed (i.e. going across Nebraska), ear buds gave me the best sound without blowing my eardrums out.

If you don't mind sharing, what is the bluetooth controller that you use?

I have the Uniq Cycle Sounds system mounted on my crash bars. They are out of business now, but essentially the same system as Steel Horse Audio above. 400 watt amp and no issue hearing at highway speeds with or without the windshield. There is also an app available that lets you adjust your volume to mph, so your speakers aren't jacked to the max at stop lights. I've been happy with this system the last 5 years or so.

That looks good. Is the 400watt system loud enough mounted on the hgwy/crash bars?

Where do you recommend mounting the amp on a '11 RKC?

I may have to try those speakers Iv been looking for a while now.
If you want to use earbuds Iv tried quite a few and these are by far the best I have found so far.

Mine is plenty loud on the engine gaurds. And my pipes are not quiet either. Obviously it is clearer with the windshield on with less wind noise, but I'm riding without the shield most of the time. Not a fan of the look on the bars.
My bike had a perfect sized square hole on the frame under the seat that fit the amp and all excess wires. We mounted one on my buddies, and his went behind a side cover opposite of fuse panel. About to install another on the girlfriends Street Bob, finding a spot on that will be a little more of a challenge.

bluetooth amp with the remote mounted on my handlebars just off center
http://www.kenwood.com/ca/car/marine/kac-m1824bt/

ebay 6x9 speaker lids with marine polk audio speakers
and 4" speaker pods with polk audio speakers similar to Steel Horse mounted to the crash bar.

Im not a fan of the windshields, I just have a roll blanket, cuts out just enough wind for me and the set up still looks clean.
