Talked to Jamie @ Fuelmoto and got a revised tune. Sound much better, tapping seems gone ( no one on the FB pages said it was pinging, but what do they know and its seems (as far as the 30 seconds i used it) better than the one they sent me previously. Ill run it this weekend and see whats what. Then scheduled for a tune on Monday. (Evaluation first, if its 'within range', theyll just do the dyno, if its not theyll tune it up.
Looks good man! I'm wishing my 48's tank was white so I could do some white walls. I got the black tank with the orange writing...still might go with white walls though
My 2014 sportsters horn was in the way rubbing against my leg. I like how loud the horn is so I'm going to keep it and try moving it forward. As you can see the horn is now out of the way.
Here's a side view. I don't really love the looks of the horn but wow it sure is loud!
All you need to do is get a sturdy L brace from the hardware store. I trimmed off the excess and drilled a 1/2" and 3/8" holes to match the OEM bracket. Make sure to use the rubber mount for durability. There's a bolt on the top of the head for a bracket. There's plenty of room there. The tank needs to be removed to reroute the cable forward. I needed to add 4" of wire for a clean cable tuck.
The horn is definitely in a more comfortable location but I'm on the fence as far as looks. It's a beastly ugly horn but it really gets the job done!
