As a temporary measure, bought a HD backpack since it had bright red/orange piping and reflector material. I normally wear a hi viz HD vest to be seen in early morning commute but wearing a backpack defeats wearing one....so the backpack needs to be somewhat eyecatching.
How does the swingarm bag attach to the bike....I looked at one and there was a hard backing with a couple of holes.
I wish I could tell you how it attaches, and sound like I know what I'm talking about, but I am mechanically challenged, and had the dealer install it before I picked up the bike. I didn't want to screw it up. I did manage to install the fork bag tho. Piece of cake.
I have just got back from touring Athen and Italy. Last time when I went to France I set off with throwovers and bin liners. All my kits got wet and I ended up having to buy my ole lady a whole new touring wardrobe! Living in Greece you dont get my selection its more or less the internet or the Army store - which has Greek combat gear for very short people! I ended up buying and Advocator Waterproof backpack. I found out about it on a site that doesnt sell bags but had a lot of info on them . Overall it was a good bag. The site was https://backpackhack.com/best-motorcycle-backpack/
I have mounted a ******* and Max swing arm bag and during the week commute I also use a T-Bags sportster bag mounted on the solo rack (for carrying my lunch). I added some lobster clips to the T-Bag and mounting rings to the solo rack mounts so I can remove the bag easily and just have the solo rack naked for the weekends. Also keep a bungee net in the swing arm bag at all times.

Wore this backpack today. Had to take off my backrest since it got in the way of the backpack...arg. When I got home, my back was aching.
Yeah, I see guys riding all the time with a backpack on their back....gotta be that they're younger than I, cause I've tried it and it is not at all comfortable for me.
You have a nice luggage rack. Strap that puppy to that, put your backrest back on and enjoy the ride!
