+1. Almost always leave it with the helmet on pit stops. Has nothing to do with how it looks. And frankly, no bandana or doo rag is going to make my ugly mug look cool.

I wear one folded into a headband to keep sweat out of my eyes when I wear my half helmet. On the rare occasion that I ride without a helmet I wear one to keep my head from burning.

So some folks want to absorb sweat by adding an insulative layer to their heads. Interesting. Seems like it would make a head sweat more and just soak through. Unless the theory is that the bandana filters the sweat so it's not as potent when the helmet liner sees it.

Someone told me it helps keep their sunglasses in place and keeps the wind from getting in between his eyebrows and glasses. He wears his 'Karate Kid' style so it's folded over and has some thickness.
