I rarely wear one while on the bike. But I wear one almost everyday at work, under my hard hat. it absorbs the sweat, so its not dripping into my eyes

Just started wearing a doo rag on long rides to keep the sun off my scalp do to the thinning of the hair, and it also keeps my head from getting tingly. After riding all day, the wind constantly blowing across my head got annoying.

I also just started wearing one occasionally when riding after about 16 years of riding without. I don't care for the look, but noticed my 3/4 helmet was feeling a little loose so I used the doorag to snug it up some. The doorag also does absorb some of the sweat that would go into the liner otherwise.

I grew my hair out pretty long a few years ago, and never thought to use one then. My problem when I had long hair was I absolutely had to use two bands to put it in a tail at the tip and near my head or it would become a tangled mess.

I wear a bandana to keep my hair a bit tidier. My helmet feels more comfortable with one and I found my head got itchy without one.
