Thanx bro. Making life easy is always a good thing . Still, with the welders cap the instructions are: "put it on". Maintenance = toss in wash. Just sayin.

Also, with a rag, people may call you "pirate" but nobody has ever called me a "welder"; particularly after they've seen me weld !

I hear you, I also wear a welder's cap a big part of the time and just turn it backwards with my beanie helmet on. If I'm on a road trip I wear a 3/4 helmet(modular or FF in cooler temps) mostly and that's when I wear the bandana.

My welds are none too pretty but I own a grinder and have plenty of rods and spare time...

Without a helmet, I use a doo rag to hold the gas cap when fueling my bike and determine what type of oil I use by wiping the dipstick with it. It also helps with counter steering.

I wear one of these^^. The same thing fixed wing fighter pilots wear under their flight helmets. Keeps my helmet from rolling back and when I remove it I look just as sexy as I did before the ride.
I like and want one.

I only wear a 'rag if I'm in a no helmet state and my head starts to fry. Regardless, after I park, I take it off and wear a baseball cap. I'm not big on the pirate look. To each his own.

I honestly don't understand the purpose of doo-rags and bandannas. I could understand if it was bald guys trying to keep from getting burned. (id use a helmet but thats another conversation) , but its not bald guys. Its guys with a full head of hair. I also Could understand if it was part of a MC uniform worn with a cut.

I see guys with hair wearing a bandanna and sunglasses and a tank top. What does the bandanna do?
It keeps the long hair out of my face

I keep a bandana folded in my hip pocket. Helps the pistol not to print as much.

Bandanas have many purposes. Before I rode a bagger, I kept one ties to my handlebars (yes, even on my metrics). Now, one lives in the saddlebag.

If we ride somewhere and it's really sunny, it keeps my scalp from burning under my hair.

If we ride in a free state, the helmet goes into the saddlebag, and the bandana gets made into a doo-rag. With out, after a short ride, my hair looks like this:

I wear one under my helmet. If it is sunny out when i reach my destination, the helmet comes off but the bandanna stays on to protect my bald melon.
