Just put my tank etc back on after custom paint. Super stoked with it! Still lots of things to do to the bike - seat is currently being made up in distressed tan leather. Tall custom sissy bar/luggage rack is currently being made up that will have a brass anchor in the back and brass knuckledusters for the tie-down points, little brass knuckleduster will go on the air cleaner cover. Will put new mirrors on too. Also the wiring situation around the bars I don't love, will get braided cables and try to streamline it a bit. That'll be all for 2017 but eventually I'll get whitewall tyres and a few other bits and pieces.
I relocated my signals to make room for my Dragster bar. It's a bear on the 2016 model because it requires a bracket unlike the previous models. I can't wait to get my bars on.

I'm not always into this kind of custom paint. This is rad though. Beyond looking good on the bike, that's the coolest Popeye depiction I've ever seen. Bravo.
Just got word my bike is off the dyno and tuned.
Did a helluva job I think. Afr is a nice flat slope and power is up! My tune wasnt bad, just not peaking due to running rich. Cant wait to get her and flog some streets!!
I took the day off and rode down to my local dealer for a state inspection. Passed with flying colors, of course. The tech who did the inspection noted I have "half pad left on the brakes." That would be those brakes I installed 5 days ago.
Since it was only 11am and I didn't have to be anywhere, I just started riding. I checked out Beltzville State Park, there's a big dam there.
Next I jumped on the PA turnpike and took a ride through the Lehigh Tunnel, which is about 3/4 mile long. For no other reason than "it was there," heh heh. Turned around and rode back through the northern tunnel and headed home.
210 mile day - a new personal high.
Oh, and the weather couldn't have been better. Sunny, blue skies, cool breeze...a perfect bike day.

I've got to agree with deadrubberboy, custom paint is usually not my thing however this is totally bad ***! Looks great and really makes your bike one-of-a-kind.
