Is it just me or did HD really screw up with their new CVO paint scheme??? Personally I think its to 'busy'.....fact is I would never buy one simply because of how ugly the paint looks!!! Just my personal thoughts....what do you think???
I tend to agree, but then, I say that about the CVO paint schemes from every year. Then again, I'm something of a minimalist anyway, so what do I know?
Most CVO paint schemes seem that way to me except for the first few years that CVO's cane out. I think the worst was the clownish paint on the CVO Softail deluxe a few years ago.

I can hardly go a day without someone complimenting me on my bike. Im sure you get alot of them on your scooter too.
I can't see the paint riding with feet up on the pegs and backrest. Sometimes when it's cold I turn on the heated seat and grips. But I'm a old man so I know nothing.

Depends on the CVO your talking about. The 09 CVO road glides had really nice paint scheme, so did the 12 CVO Road glides. In fact the 12 CVO Road Glide Skunk is still highly sought after, I had one for 2 years and 46K miles. Got more complements on that bike than any other I have owned.
I also had the 09 CVO Road Glide, I have a 13 CVO Road King anniversary edition, and a 17 CVO Street glide. Had a 15 CVO Road Glide Ultra, thought its pain design was to plain.
Paint is likely the most subjective thing you can talk about with bikes. Some like lots of flash, some don't, etc. For me I've never owned a CVO but have seen a lot, I like them but haven't seen any that have the real "wow" factor in terms of the paint. Saw a youtube video recently on HD's being built, there is only so much they can do with paint schemes when it is still mostly production line building. They use a lot of decals over paint which then get clear-coated, which I'm not a fan of really. Even when they do pinstriping by hand it is all with templates, not the artistry you get from a true custom paint job.
