any one have experience with integrated tail/brake/blinkers? godd ones ? bad ones? states its not allowed in? cops give tickets or just an no pass on inspections? problems ? or do you love it?
I live in Florida and I have never been bothered about my Brake/running and turn signal combination in the rear. The thing is all the taillights are red, so I am not violating the color of lights for the rear. My tails also flash three times and then go solid when I hit the brakes. My Softail came with the Kuryakyn kit on it.
I've got the custom dynamics and like it. I've not been stopped by police. I honestly don't know the legalities of it, but my thought is, I have turn signals. Even if it's in the same housing as the brake/run light.

I have the moons, I was stopped on a BS speeding ticket. he "Paced" me at 86 mph...dont know how thats possible, since I saw him from a mile away. anyway, he ticketed me for speeding, failure to signal (which is not applicable to motorcycles in CA) and illegal taillight. Just being a dick.
I have integrated taillights/turn signals on both of my Hondas, and I like them very much-but neither are real "street bikes". For the Harleys, which I use on the street, and as long-range "commuters", often in the early morning hours, I don't feel integrated taillights provide enough of a display to grab the attention of today's distracted drivers. I feel much more secure with my BALs and CD turn/brake/running lights.
I have a kuryakyn integrated tail. The only issue I had was sourcing the correct OEM harness due to my original harness being the one for the Sparto tail light. After that it was plug and play, no problems. I haven't had any issues with the law either, but my state doesn't require turn signals (if you signal with your hand), we also don't have the safety inspections a lot of states have.

That's the CHP for you. No different up here in NorCal.

Well, ****. I have that lower profile Moons, sitting in a box. I guess I will leave the Ness turns in place. WA is no better on these things.
I have a kuryakyn or custom dynamics one, can't remember which. It came with the load equalizer, which was cool. It's lower profile than stock and has integrated signals. It's illegal here in CA, since they're supposed to be at least some set distance apart like 10". I haven't been hassled about it, and doubt I will be unless the cop decides to tack it onto a ticket that I ACTUALLY deserve. If you are in a state that doesn't have annual inspections for registration, I say go for it.
