When I bought my '15 Freewheeler, wife was riding an '11 Tri-Glide. The finance manager told us she had just taken a '14 Tri on concession. It was a month old with 127 miles on it and a bunch of 'add ons' the dealer had installed before delivery. I asked what they owed and offered $100 over that. They countered with $3000 over. Within 2 hours (while they were prepping my Free they accepted my original offer. Saves over 7 grand. Warranty is transferable. Wife wasn't thrilled about a black bike, but with a savings of 7 large, she said she would 'tolerate' it.
Steve, you scored on that deal! Plus everyone knows black trikes are faster, handle better, get better gas mileage, run cooler, are louder & just plain more bad azz. lol
Second, Black is not a color, It is a layer of Pigment that absorbs Sunlight which in-turn causes a molecular level of negative drag [Slowdown] effect though ambient and non-ambient air...And limits a Back vehicle's acceleration verses any other color...

I was told that the original owner was a Harley Wannabe who hung around the dealership in his Harley clothes talking 'Harley' to whoever would listen. He bought the Tri-Glide and decked it out. Kelly (sales manager) said he drove it home about 15 miles and it scared the hell out of him. Over the next month he brought it back to the dealer 3 times because of the : heat, noises, hard to steer, couldn't find neutral, shifted hard, reverse quit... pretty much everything you see on these boards. Finally gave up and put it up on consignment. I came in the next morning and the rest is history. Wife has put nearly 15,000 miles on it and she loves it. This is her 3rd Tri-Glide, my 2nd trike. She had 4 Harley 2 wheelers before cancer put her on a trike, I've had 5 or 6.
