This bike is new to me in April. I have not yet done anything to the front end.

YEP but that does not mean the old owner changed maybe springs in the forks and could have screwed up on the oil level, just a thought.

Oh yeah, all thoughts are welcome. This is bugging the hell out of me. I thought I had closed the case when I cinched down the adjuster nut but it slowly returned. I guess i can add another possible cause to the list.Thank you

Another thing that comes to mind is try changing your shock settings and see if it still happens, start from softest to hardest, and then same with old lady on the ride, and also check the rubber protecting the frame on the footrest is in the correct position.

I loosened the lower pinch bolts and tightened up my adj. nut and tightened pinch bolts back and took it off the lift. Went for a ride and its gone no more thump. For now, hope it don't come back.

I checked retorqued the retention brackets on my exhaust as I have a Fat Cat and don't use the stock bracket but thank you for the reminder that I need to remove the old bracket. Rode 150 miles yesterday and the squeak was there most of the day but I did notice at the end of the day it was not. So engine warmed up it went away on the second half. Doing the same ride today so I'll see how it goes. I did have a flange bolt break the other week and am running with a barely long enough one now until I get a new set in with gaskets to re-land the exhaust. That may also be a source.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner. I rode around town without wearing my ear plugs after doing 200 miles yesterday and the squeak was still there. I noticed that the squeak timing, pitch, and amplitude was the same as my exhaust notes though so I am betting that flange nut backed off and the stud broke off that the exhaust backed out of the port enough that the gasket no longer mates with the header and I have an air leak. Luckily new studs and gaskets are already on their way and I don't think it is the mount.

Well actually after I had fixed the flange nut bolts and the exhaust bracket, damn chirp was still there, so I loosened all the exhaust muffler brackets and tightened them up a little more than torque settings, only a little more and chirp and squeak was gone totally, on bottom bracket only big screw at front was tightened as it had become loose, brackets tightened in pictures below.

Just to round this out, I replaced the exhaust gasket, flange studs, and nuts and the squirrel squeak has gone away. The issue was not the Predator mount.
