Couldn't sleep and it was a nice night out so I spent some time in the garage.
Got the tank cuts all made so I can move on to templates for the new metal. No pics.
Also got the left side foot controls mounted up. I didn't feel like tackling the sheared off bolt on the right side.
The chrome is flaking off the shifter lever. Need to order a new one...and a peg.
Looking great! I have a stuck bolt on the right side that the highway peg brackets were installed to. I have tried my best to remove that damn thing. I'm just going to drill a hole in the protuding piece of the stud and attach a gremlin bell to it...maybe.
I ordered a couple chrome banjo bolts with new washers for the front brake line. I ordered a 1016mm long Spiegler black front brake line with chrome fittings. They will get back to me within 24 hours with a quote on the price. I hope I got the measurement right.

Here ya go, SixDD! I took these the day I got the J&S. If you need more images I'll head out to the garage and get 'em, for you
Many thanks for those pics. I've always heard those jacks work well, but never WHY they work well, so I was never sold on them. Pics being worth a thousand etc etc. now I understand it. I'm really tired of jerking around with my other jack, I think I'll need to get one of these.
I went to their website and they have about 6 or 8 models or options. What did you get?
Same here. Like the close ups with the bike on the J&S stand. A lot of $$$, but appears to be a good investment. I see a J&S coming in the near future.
Safe to assume the newer Dynas have wires entering both sides of the neck thru mirrored rubber grommets?
I need to figure out some way to make mirrored grommets for my 99 neck. My bike has a rubber plug on the right side and the left is stuffed clear full of ****. Looks like hell. I need to give that some thought.
I had the wires on both sides (2006), and moved them all to the left side. I removed all the factory sleeving on the individual bundles and combined all the wires into one bundle, that cut down on the overall size of the bundle.
Rode it 150 mile round trip to Discovery Park Museum as a test of my old HJC Modular helmet I haven't worn in quite a while. Either my face has gotten fatter or the helmet shrunk lol. Couldn't open and close my mouth without biting my cheeks! I need a fullface for my Rockies trip coming up in less than 3 weeks now. Off to search for a new helmet!!!
This one is over 13 years old so need to replace anyhow I guess. Just more $$$ I don't want to let go of currently.
Update, ordered a Bell Revolver Evo to replace this one.
