Hey CGGORMAN, remember the thread about the spring washers rusting after only a few hundred miles. Looks like you have 'em beat, yours looks rusted in the blister pack.
Good eye! You are correct. I'll hit them with some rust convertor and Boeshield before I button them up for good.
heheh. It is a bit nuts but it works very well. Very sturdy and very inexpensive. I doubt anyone would try to steal my $15 grill grate. I still work for a living but I want to start taking some weekend trips this fall and enjoy my Low Rider. It's is the nicest and most fun scoot I've ever owned. Someday maybe a nice set of saddlebags.
Oh and no, that grate goes on only when heading out of town for a trip. Around town and work commute, just the little rear rack.
Glad you took my razzing in fun, you're a good sport, too many anymore on the board aren't
The real rack under that bag does look good though and able to carry that bag, maybe though flip the grill rack upside down so the end of the bottom bar in the middle doesn't leave a permanent spot on the seat or worse, puncture it.
Maybe I'll have to get one and PC it black......no, no I won't

Suggestion noted. Also, it can be mounted sideways as well - which is actually how this bag is meant to be mounted - and that might work better. I'm going to try it both ways. Here's the Viking bag I have, which is pretty well made: https://www.vikingbags.com/cruiser-b...cycle-roll.htm
It's gonna be all rust in few weeks. You better coat it up with something.
Well actually it looks as good as my rear rack and that hasn't rusted. But its only gonna get mounted for a trip. Same way I feel about saddle bags. Don't think I'd want 'em on every day. I'd want throw-over or something to mount for a trip.
