I feel like $12 a quart is not a good value. I've been through the fancy oil phase with my Duramax. With the Duramax I found that a lot of the people I respected in the industry used good conventional oil. If it was good enough for them it's good enough for me. I figure Syn3 is the same way I probably won't buy again, live and learn.
I performed the 1K service at 972 miles. For all of you who're doing this yourself, one of the steps tells you to check the torque and lube the "jiffy stand" (hate that term). Unless you have that $23 oil filter drain thingy, all you have to do to the kickstand is check the torque. Removing the oil filter will lube it for you.
I bought a Road King Special last week and then had a stage 2 torque cam installed. Result were underwhelming, I posted this on another thread.
I really debated posting this because I can already hear people say that the HD torque cam is an EPA cam and can't compare to other aftermarket cams that are available at this time. That the Harley street tuner is crap compared to a FP3 and Powervision... etc. that being said I'm posting this to see that over have experienced with this cam and tuner and to see why my numbers are even lower than the projected Harley numbers. I knew there would be some variation but damn, this is a lot to me. I don't know if the dyno pull was done incorrectly, being done in 4th gear, or if the variation is due to the Vance and Hines hi-output slip ons I'm using. I bought maybe they loaded the wrong tune even did they even install the cam? I just want to see what other think and see what they have experienced. The set up right now is just the stage 2 torque cam, high flow air cleaner, had street tuner stock head pipe and Vance and Hines hi output slip ons. Are the slipins to much, not enough back pressure? And I know the numbers don't tell the whole story, but I didn't get a before dyno pull so it's hard to compare and see if the torque rose through out down low where I usually ride. I haven't ridden the bike, it is still at the dealer I'm out of town on a trip so it's hard to tell anything without riding it. The dealer tells me that I'm going to love the difference but I'll have to wait and see.

something's wrong, that just can't be done right..I have posted the crap out of my SE Stage 1 dyno chart many times for comparison purposes, feedback, show what the SE stuff is capable of..if I had put the Stage II TQ in and had my dealer do the tune it should blow away my Stage 1..keep in mind the red line is the SE Stage 1 with just ECM recalibration and the blue is how dyno tuning improved on that..once again..ALL Screaming Eagle EPA components..mine must have been 5th gear if yours was 4th
Man, charts like that make me think something is definitely not right. I'm not sure what happened. I don't need to see crazy numbers but I don't want to see stock or stage 1 kits with way better numbers. I know dynos and conditions vary but this is truly disheartening.
This would make me feel better. I could tell everyone my bike has so much torque, the tire keeps slipping, lol. I may go to another dealer near me and see what it dynos there.
when will we see the 18's, next week? when does Harley usually put them on the website? I have a 17, no interest in trading in but I am kinda excited about the 18's coming out.
