I really like my FLSS. I don't have any issues with it at all. Admittedly I've only owned it a couple weeks so not alot of miles.

My concern was the floorboards dragging as I live at the base of the Rockies and curves and twisty roads are the norm where I ride. But dragging floorboards turned out NOT to be an issue IF I didn't want it to be.

What I mean by this is, I've been riding for over 30 years and roadraced for many of those. Shifting my body slightly to the inside of the corner/bike almost completely prevents this issue. And its not like total hang-off either its slight. I found I could easily go around corners at least 10 over the speed limit and as much as 15 mph.

If I sat up straight in the saddle, they'd drag more but not every time. I rode with a guy who said he dragged his boards on his FLSS in just about every corner. I rode behind him through a mountain road and watched as he cornered his FLSS like a dirtbike; Rider stays pretty much upright and he pushes the bike in the corner. We'd be going around the corner at the same speed and he would indeed have his floorboard buried in the corner. I told him a change in his riding style would prevent this from happening but he didn't want to take my advice... to each his own...

I just got my Slim S and only have a few hundred miles on it. So far I love everything about it but the seat and dragging the floorboards. I may try an adjustment in riding style that FLSSBart has pointed out to help dragging the floorboards in the tight corners. I have the 14" Banana Boards on the way, I think those will help also. For my bony *** the seat just sucks. I have a Saddlemen Renegade LS seat that will be here tomorrow. Along with not fitting me well, just cracking the throttle in 1st -2sd gear starts sliding me right off the back of the seat. I think this is a good problem to have.... Now for the good stuff. This thing is an absolute blast to ride. I am not a motorcycle racer, however the 2500 RPM to 4500 RPM twist the throttle Torque rush 1st thru 4th gear puts a serious smile on my face. My last 4 Harleys I had to do Cams, Head, Exhaust and tune to get this type of TQ rush. The power to weight ratio on this bike gives you that right off the showroom floor. I put a D&D Low Cat exhaust on it and will have it tuned in a week or so. I will give a better review after a few thousand miles

Narrower boards fix the scrapes for me. The stock boards are wide and ugly imho.

HD_fan I picked up a set of those for my 99 fatboy to give some exhaust clearance an picked up a tad of lean angle but I think the bracket is what scrapes before the board. I'm diggin those 2 into 1's i went with true duals

I love my Slim! I've done some mods (i.e, a full Stage 1 kit, aftermarket slip ons, a FP3, etc.), but if I would have had to leave it bone stock, I would have been fine with it.

IMO, the best looking bike Harley makes right now, and I'm not sure they make a better bike for me from an ergonomic standpoint.

Yeah, there is actually one thing I don't like, its the seat. I've got a few hundred miles on the bike. Longest ride I took was about 90 minutes or so in the saddle. When I got up my legs were tingling numb. The stock seat puts pressure on my tailbone which is causing the discomfort.

I've already ordered a Corbin seat...
