No can do as I sold the stock AC and exhaust on the forum. Only parts I would take from LR if I got a new LR S are the HD 1/4 fairing and Superbrace fork brace.

I got a call from the salesman I spoke to on Wed while at work today. Told him that the price they quoted me was too high and that I am looking at all my options.

I am curious if you experienced any significant benefit from the fork brace?

Just rode the 114 fat bob. that thing is no joke. the power is like mine... but stock! once you stage 1 that thing.... jeezus.

i finally got the details on why they's no 107 to 117 kit. the crank is different on the 107 vs the 114.

also found out there's a hd 120"+ kit coming.

update: fuel moto already has one...
https://www.fuelmotousa.com/rt-4076-...bore-kits.html

unlike the lrs, there's no cruise control. and everyone saying that the 107/114 engines don't get hot is full of sh!#. it was hot enough to announce itself to my leg in an unfriendly way.

service will be a little bit harder. the tranny fill ole is under that electronics box and shock adjuster

hoopla over the suspension... true. but not some magic cure, bumps still felt the same. handling is superior to dyna... no two ways about it. it's basically a huge 2016+ roadster

seating position is sorta weird. you'll see when you go ride it if they have all been sold. ademec had two... one guy walked in and just said gimme and took one. the other is the one i rode. they expected it gone by close.

No way to really know. I have never pushed my LR far enough to find out.

I rode sportbikes from 1991 to 2015 (1991 CBR 600 F2, 1994 CBR 900 RR, 1998 CBR 1100 XX, 2003 Kawasaki ZZR 1200, 2011 GSXR 600). Been there and done that.

I bought the SB because I figured more stability could not hurt.

Cvaria, the only thing about the Fat Bob that concerns me are the forward controls. Do you happen to know if mid controls are something that HD offers?

A salesman once invited me to try a Wide Glide and I told them that I would not be able to reach the controls. She did not believe me. I got on the bike and tried to reach them and I couldn't. At 5'6 my legs are not long enough.

honestly, they weren't really forwards. i felt like i was sit straight up or on my sportster. i'm 5'9" with a 32" inseam. the seat also pushes you pretty far forward. i ride a wide glide with forwards. very much not the same. you see once you get on it.

there are some "mids" that are on the softail low rider. i think the fatbob exhaust may get in the way. you can ask the dealer about it.

not to be that guy but, have you considered 110'ing your LR?

Considering an S&S 124 actually.

My LR will likely hit 20000 miles in the next 7-10 days. Still a lot of life left in it. Perhaps in a few years, I will replace my well used 103 with a nice 124.

All this talk about stage 1'ing the '18's... don't forget unless you are using Hd's historically crap EPA legal tune HD is obligated to void your entire warranty if they see a aftermarket (non-compliant) tune. And before you get all Magnuson-Moss on me, it's an agreement HD made with the EPA to get out of hot water.

Read paragraph 14: https://www.epa.gov/sites/production...avidson-cd.pdf

To me, this means nothing more then slip ons and the HD stage 1 tune for 2 years.

Hell yes. This coming from an LRS owner that is happy. If I had your machine, and wanted to burn 10K, I would have the engine and suspension that is miles ahead of my LRS stuff. I would do it all myself. That said, if you can't do it all yourself, 10K may not be enough.

Just sayin'

As for the deal, and your original question; I don't think that is too bad of a deal.
