They got the power-plant right with 60' Rev-X. I love it... To bounce it off 9K rev-limiter during wheelies or coming out of a turn hot is just awesome!
I would love to see a more powerful version come out and put into more standard bikes like the XG750A. A true "sport" tourer, Adventure, whatever. The Street is a good place to start for all sorts of those bikes.
I say they bring in a thumper and do a dual sport... That would sell like crazy!!!
And the fact you can get into a decently tuned and nice looking HD for less then $9K new is pretty stellar as well.
They will sell more units if they make more economic options.
It's a good platform for sure. There are a lot of cool custom builds with it scramblers, trackers,etc.... I'm really hoping they upgrade the sportster with a mono and cram a vrod motor in it. That would be pretty cool
yah... it kinda is... lets be real here. I get that you like it. I like it too. I ran out an rode it as soon as one appeared here. It's a cruiser. Just not a heavy one. That 750cc is no sport 750cc.
c'mon back down to earth. It will give a stock 1200 a tun for its money but, that's not really saying much.
my dyna and sportster will wipe the floor with that thing
I see a lot of young riders buying new sportsters off the floor. The price of HDs hampers new bike sales for younger riders.
There's a kid in my neck of the woods that straps his BMX to the back of his Sportster to hit the skate/bike park.
True that...I do see young guys on Sportys all the time. The price does absolutely hinder that. I wouldn't spend new bike money when I can go out and get a used one with low miles for half the price or even less, especially with Sportsters.
When I wanted another bike, I started buying parts to piece it together. Never thought about buying a new one, no heart in that ****.

This.
Does this mean my Sport is not a cruiser because I can lean it over?
