Dudepants Hammer 1250 kit install
hahaha! It went all fairly smoothly, I'd say the most nerve racking was filing the piston rings.
Old cylinders out (sniff, sniff, good bye 883). Pistons looked like they were in excellent shape:
Rear piston and cylinder installed:
Both cylinders and heads in. I was really happy how well it all went together. pistons, cylinders and piston wrist pins clips all cooperated for the most part, haha! Had to buzz of the rivet on the head gaskets as per the Hammer instructions. Right side was fine, left side was way too close:
I Made sure to cover the valve springs and push rods in some oil. Used assembly grease on bolts too. Here I have the Daytona TC88A installed; initial set to 2, slope to 0. Rejetted the carb 185 and a 45:
All buttoned up! Like I said, too late to fire it tonight, so I'll be doing a video fist thing tomorrow. Cross your fingers!

It is also possible I have an air leak, maybe on the exhaust. I think I'll add all new gaskets to the exhaust to see if that helps.
Sorry for the crappy picture.....
