My 4 yr old girl says she's going to be a doctor, engineer or astronaut. One flaw is that she's taking my wife and I into space.
I was just telling her about neurosurgery this AM, but her only comment was "that's crazy." I'll work on that one.
I think with the digitizing of medical and all other records there will be a high demand for database and ETL* code writers for a long time.
* Pretty nerdy stuff:
ETL is the Extract/Transform/Load code that moves the data from source to destination and transforms it from the raw input to a uniform output. Basically, or at least in theory, it can take any format from any customer/organization and makes it the same as any other on the web site we have to show results.
