Default premature expect-u-la-tion

Is it to early to speculate what the value of the 2016-17 S models might become with the arrivals of the 2018s?

Motorcycles are not investments. Generally they go down every year until they find a bottom. Not collectors iteams.

multiply your monthly payment by the number of payments made. subtract that amount from the MSRP. add the cost of mods not including labor. Subtract 30 percent. take a zanax, lithium or similar anti-depressant and go for a ride on your current bike. don't come home until you are smiling uncontrollably.

Damn good advice.

America loves big power plants in small packages. The Softail S series will command a premium over Non-S series softails...but who knows how much???

But as Bob pointed out...the biggest smile these S series bikes will put on your face for a few decades is by riding the crap out of them. These things are an absolute blast to ride

Fact is, new depreciates old. Except for the shortages of new bikes during the '90's, it's always been that way.

I was looking at the 18's an talking to the guy that sold me my slim an I said something about the Dyna S an Fatboy S sitting on the floor still with the 18's there an he said he can get me a hell of a deal on a 17....so I take it they will drop in value as usual except maybe a CVO softail.
