I thought about using the HD aux switch but its way overpriced, i still almost pulled the trigger on it but was to by the sales person that all the switches are off/on and we want momentary for the garage switch. That being said i did the power outlet switch swap after seeing this thread and i love it, only down side was i had to remove the speaker pod to get the switch in then i said while the pod is out i might as well change the speakers, this led me to also buying a 4ch amp and lower fairings with speaker pods. So if your anything like me this is more like a $800 project lol

I used the factory panel with the momentary switches - I have the whole thing documented on my website - http://shawnharrington.com/?p=66

Mine is in my RGS right glove box. I just reach in and hit it before turning in the drive. No cost.

I simply got a key fob remote and used some velcro to attach it the inside of cubby hole on my 16 RG<br/>

Me too. But wish I knew how to do what OP did. I'm going to subscribe to this thread, and get one of my more talented friends to do it. I really like it OP! Very clean.

homerboy35 - great job! That was my original intent, but the parts guys at the dealership were not a lot of help and I didn't get a lot of confidence in the parts they were telling me I needed for the switches. I don't remember how much it was but it was enough for me to re-think it.

Glad to hear that others have found this useful, although don't blame me for spending an extra $800 on a sound system..lol

I did the exact same thing. Plus, it can easily be removed or used in other vehicles, when necessary.

I don't know what happened to the diagram/instructions that came with the switch but if anyone has them could you post them? Please... thanks in advance.
