Heading overseas at the end of the year and just couldn't justify the cost to ship and certify.
8 years mine, and a whole lot of saved sanity. Daily commute and weekend escapes. Polishing it because it looked better than what was on TV. Conversation starter, and sometimes ender (loud pipes can do that!)
My first American V-Twin, after growing up with Japanese bikes and feeling surprisingly emotional about parting with the old tractor!
How long before I start cruising the "for sales" for where I'm going ... don't even have a garage yet, but I can dream about what's going in it right?
1197 miles in the last 3 days; the weather has been hot and flawless
Tomorrow promises to be as nice so I'l be out early and all day once again. Fluids are here for a 3 hole change w/permanent oil filter cleaning on Monday morning; Monday looks great as well so I'll do the fluids very early and head out again for another day ride. The weather keeps up this good and I'll burn off these Night Dragons before the snow flies; but another set along with new tubes and 3 bottles of Ride On is already here should that happen
Parts are being ordered for my winter upgrades and will start to arrive late next week; sourced out and ordered a Jeep LED headlight decoder harness to see if I can convince my CANbus my low beam isn't actually out and the electrical diagnostic light will stay happy. This harness should work with both the low beam out/diagnostic light and the high/low shorted DTC's some of us are having. I'll report on that.
The new gauge is a true pleasure to look at, the CCE fork brace and the solid top stabilizer are true enhancements, and the bike is running flawlessly. Life is good.
Just love my legacy Wide Glide, she's my heavy metal love; I'm a believer
Blech. I tried to install the blind nut for my Klock Werks flush axle and broke a (chinese) 3/4 crows foot and rounded off the puller nut in the process. I couldn't get enough leverage with the combination wrench so switched to breaker and crows foot. The store is closed so I'll have to wait til tomorrow to get replacements. Going American tools (S&K, probably) and grade 8. This thing ain't coming apart easy!

Installed a red thunder exhaust today, (thanks mchad) took it for a little spin, love the sound and the decel grumble. Next up is a powervision to eliminate the decel pop's and get her running like a top! Attachment 572368

Been going on so many group rides lately that today was the first solo ride I'd been on in a while. Got in a nice ride and a hour long Target Tune autotune session. Tomorrow its off to Luckenbach and Fredericksburg 2-up with my wife, and several of our friends.
