got out on it for a while... didn't know it would do near 100mph in 3rd. fn love this thing... think i'm gonna ride it home to Maryland in a few weeks.
I got two lessons on my 200+mile ride yesterday on my stock 08 FXDL. 1) must remember sun block 2) and I've got to get forwards or at least highway pegs to stretch out. I'm only 5'7" but damn leg cramp got me bad halfway through the ride.
Polished up the last of my rear wheel parts with the new Jackson Lea aluminum polishing compounds. Wish I'd had these compounds before I assembled the hub. Much better results than the Enkay compounds.

Today I put the stock/OEM headlight mount back on the lower triple tree. Reattached headlight. The beam still needs adjusting.

Looks pretty damn sweet. Sounds like a positive review for Jackson Lea. I'll look for it when i get started on my aluminum.
