Trying out the new J&S Lift. I took the front wheel off the Harley-Davidson just a little while ago. Damn I think I'm going to love this lift! This lift is a zero regret purchase.
hi all,,been working on this 01 dwg. for a few months..no history from previous owner as he passed to the bike in the sky world////
Here are some of the things i have been doing....fixed leak in primary, it seems it was shifter seal, so i also changed others inside and out..prim. gasket also.. adjusted clutch.changed all fluids..got a new sissy bar. added new OEM correct for this year front and rear turn signals..put in new chain tensioner shoe. replaced clutch housing screws rusted out.. but came out great..got new chrome ones from ACE is the place..last but not least is the wheels and tires..chrome on wheels is coming off..installed new intake manifold gasket seals..and carb seal...also did the exh. gaskets ,,this helped a lot with vacuum leak i was getting in both areas. Replaced batt, cover,,and cam cover.. more to come soon...thanks for reading..

I took the front fender off. Now I can adjust the fork tubes precisely. I'm still waiting on an adapter so I can use my torque wrench on the fork tube caps. I'm tempted just to use my 1/2" breaker bar on them and just tighten them down well, but I suppose it's better to wait on the adapter and torque them down.
Nice to hear you're lovin' on the J&S, SixDD! Money well spent...
I understand why you've got the lift in a low locking position to make removal of the front wheel easier but you'll find the lift is its most stable at the highest locking position

stable because the arms are pointing straight up? I had it all the way up once. It is stable there!
Man, I'm loving this jack, and I know its gonna be loved more in the future.
Got the fork brace back from the anodizer. I like the way it turned out. It seems to flow with the lines of the forks better than some I've seen. It's also not as bulky.
Only downside is I'll be losing it once I pull the front end and replace with the ODC inverted unit this winter. Probably be seeing the whole front end for sale in the classifieds soon!!
Finally got rid of that chirping noise from the front end of the frame. Clutch cable clamp on the down tube was letting the clutch cable vibrate against the 3Guyz oil filter relocation housing. Re positioned it closer to the housing to prevent movement and ordered a second one to put on the other side of the housing on the down tube to prevent all movement.
