Default First HD bike selection

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

I've just registered here and introduced myself: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/new-m...l#post16690709

So I'd like to get your input guys on my selection of the used HDs available at the local dealership. Which one you think is the best? I know that it is personal and I'm definitely going to check them and test ride, but from the year/mileage/certain model issues which one is potentially less problematic/more enjoyable? I rode 7 bikes today at Demo truck event and liked them all! But my 2 favorite were Street Glide Special and Road King. I cannot afford brand new one yet, but there are few used ones that seem to be very interesting. I added links below so you can take a look.

Thanks for your advice!

Go to a dealership test ride the bikes you are thinking about find what one is the best for you. Only you can decide what is comfortable for yourself.

From my copy/paste file...

Go to a dealership and see which one looks good, that fits you the best and buy it. Another way is if a dealership has a demo day and test ride every bike that you like and choose it that way. After all, it's your choice and I can't and won't tell you which one to get because everybody has their own preference on which one feels and looks the best to them and that they can afford. Good luck.

Yes, that's the plan to test ride them. I guess my question was about technical specifics/reliability/things to pay attention to... which year/engine, etc... Of course it's up to me which one fits me best.

All of those questions can and will be answered at a dealership.

Get the blue one! (I didn't look at any of the links, but if there is a blue one get it. If no blue, then red). if it seems like people are telling you that our opinion on what bike is right for you.......Now you get it. You're gonna get the bike that looks, feels, and rides the waay you want, regardless of what all of us say....

While those questions can be answered at a dealership, I think he probably wants the best answer, not an answer. I was at a local dealer the other day and my wife asked a salesman a question about 2017 vs 2018. I forget the details of the question but it had to do with the 107 from last year vs the new one. This guy made up some crazy answer that indicated that he wasn't even aware the 107s were out in the 2017s... Even after sifting through nonsense, I learn more reading this forum than I could ever hope to learn visiting the dealer.

You can talk to different salespeople, find out how long they've been there and from that if they actually know what they're talking about. Here, it's a lot of opinions. Just like now.
