Just for laughs, I picked up a set of LA Choppers 1.5 riser extensions for my 8 wild1 bars, figuring id try them out to see if I wanted higher bars.
No go. Couldnt stretch the brake line far enough. It technically fit, but the brake line from MC to manifold was way, way too tight. No way could I leave it like that.
Too bad. Im not keen on spending $300 on new brake lines, so ill live with my bars.

One must prioritize, right? My toilet handle broke this afternoon. Went to THD, and had a choice, get an "almost works". for $6.00, or $14.00 for an exact fit. Cheap, inventive me, bought the cheap one, and heated/bent the plastic arm with a lighter, to work correctly. Too bad you can't heat and stretch brake lines too. tp dd50

Yeah, I’ll McGuyver a lot, but not brakes. No way. I thought (for about 0.68 seconds*) about bending the 90deg banjo bolt so it faces down instead of left (no idea why they do that) but again, no cheating with brakes for me.
My bars are perfect, this was really just an experiment to see how they would feel. I’m not that highly motivated!
Scored a used heavy breather for $100 off eBay. Looks like new. I should have done this mod first as I didn't realize how uncomfortable the stock HO intake made riding. I had to "pigeon toe" pretty bad to hit the rear brakes as the stocker pushed my knee out to the side. FWIW I'm a short 5-8 on a wide glide with forwards.
Knee tucks in nicely behind the new intake.

Reason: Spellcheck
Bought it!!!! 07 super glide. 11k miles. Been down a couple times so it has some bumps and bruises but overall it's rock solid and I got a great deal on it. Can't wait to attempt to make it look like a lowrider S.
