I tried one of those out that I bought off eBay and it broke after 3 weeks. I tried the ones that DK customs sells and the quality was much much better.
Took carb off and totally cleaned it, inside and out ethanol gas sucks. Taking off coil to replace with a new one I'll be getting this afternoon. Then.....ride, ride, ride.
The new mirrors arrived... from Belgium, of all places. I found a pair of these online here in the US from a dealer that had closed down. They were asking $75 with a 40% discount on top of that. I called immediately and they had already sold them, my luck.
Finally found this pair in Belgium from a J.W. Boon who specializes in NOS Harley Davidson parts. Problem is, he doesn't ship to North or South America, again my luck. Found out at work we have a representative headquartered in Belgium, lucky me! He agreed to buy them and ship them to me. Apparently he used the company's FedEx account to ship them. So no shipping charges.
