Got forward controls and fork boots fitted this week. It's a 2017 model and already has the 117 kit installed and a supermeg pipe. The silver bit of the forks above the fork boots is gonna be covered in black soon too.
Looks great! What is your plan for the top of the fork tubes?
Originally I was going to get the forks coated in gold but can't justify cost right now.
I had a fork seal leaking so whilst both were fixed under warranty I had the boots fitted. The upper forks are going to be blacked out with the vinyl covers that hold together with velcro. They look good, are easy to fit and easy to take off for cleaning etc. That'll do it until I get it coated in gold.
That's not a cheap part, but if that lathe is yours, guess the forks are within affordability. Post pics when installed. tp
Not my shop, its my brothers. I think thats the smallest lathe he has. Most of his machines are CNC Mazaks like this. About 15-20k pounds each! Its awesome to watch them work.

You had me at the lathe. The CNC's are icing on the "Unavailable Parts Makers" cake. Still wanna see pics when the forks are installed. tp

Do you have a link for those, sounds interesting??
