Default Seat Options?

Hello all,

I'm a new member to this forum. Just bought my 07' HD Street Bob this summer. Put a new exhaust on (V&H Short Shots Staggered), air intake (Kuryakyn) and Cobro Fi2000 PowerPro Black fuel modular. Bike sounds badass now. Looking to do more stuff. Ill add a picture once i get one.

Currently I am looking for seat options, with back support and maybe moving my seating position forward from the stock seat. Full seat or solo seat doesn't matter just looking for options.

Thank you for your help!

Anything with a straight back on it will help with support really. Just do a lot of research because a lot of these companies are way overpriced and aren’t all that comfortable. You’re probably gonna want a seat that has a gel in it. Your *** will thank you especially on a 2+ hour ride. I run the Biltwell Continental and I like it a lot. I just wish it had the gel in it. Wears on my *** after about 2 hours. Pick yourself up some highway pegs too. It will also help with comfort being able to switch leg positions. Check local swap meets or flea markets.

X2 on this...Highway pegs help quite a bit on those longer rides.

Thank you. Noticed you have the mid controls, how do you like them. I am finding g the forward controls to be a little to far forward for me.

I’ve always been a fan of mid controls. I feel a lot more planted on the bike with them. Plus I grew up on doin motocross so it just feels more natural. Do some looking around on Craigslist. You might find someone willing to do a complete swap with you. Welcome to the forum bud

Hey Smittie, welcome.

Look at RSD Enzo seat. Most seats with high back support take over the looks of the bike, not this one. It's softer than it looks. The lines go very well on the SB.

Here is a video of the seat. I have the one on the right side bike ( seat has a line in the middle)

A lot of people like the Mustang Vintage Wide seat. The removable driver backrest is an option that is also popular. I feel it puts me a little forward and higher than the stock seat. The seat is VERY comfortable for long rides. Perhaps not the most stylish but it looks much better in person than photos depict. Here is mine.

Check out http://www.meancitycycles.com/ they did the one on my Low Rider and it is very good. They can move you around on the seat and cut it for a backrest. Another option is a Saddleman with the straighter back. They felt to me like it moves you forward and the gel is fairly comfortable.

I wish there was a day that you could just go to a store and try all forms of seats on your bike, would make life that much easier...lol!
