I'm a big guy 6' with 30" inseam was 373 before I started on my bariatric destiney in November. I had a custom seat on my 02. I traded for a 15 cvo in August and love the cvo seat way more comfortable than even my custom seat. Looking forward to riding the bike in a couple weeks now that I'm post surgery and down to 310.

Congrats on your progress and don't give up the tough battle. Riding only gets better the more fit you are😀

I put one on my 2016 RGU last week. The reason was wife's comfort. We tried every demo seat they had. I was against the Hammock t first, before we tried it. I was mistaken when I thought it would cost me footing. I am 5'7". When we put it on right away I noticed it did not have a major effect on my inseam when stopped.
The seat was comfortable for both of us. I then out my back rest on with it and it fit perfect. After a another ride with it we left with it on the bikes. Picked my seat up latter in the week. It is a keeper.
I was wrong about it effecting my footing. And wife is very happy and I enjoy the ride the most when she is with me.

I bought one hated it and sold it here. Glad you like yours. I still have the adjustable backrest I need to sell. I ended up with a Russell day long seat. And can ride 1k miles a day without issue

I rode about 500 miles yesterday, and no back problems. Cannot explain it, but was very happy that worked out ok.
Still thinking about the hammock, but may press on.

I know this is an old thread but wanted to find out if anyone has fitted the harley adjustable backrest with a supposedly newer version of the hammock seat part# 52000176? Supposedly this seat replaced old part# 52000126 and the adjustable backrest works with the new seat part# 52000176.

I think folks have modified the bracket to make it fit the new Hammock, it needs to be spaced up a bit in the front for a better angle. I have the passenger grab rail installed, which is also not supposed to fit with the Hammock seat. The adjustable backrest bracket mounts on top of the grab rail bracket and is a very stable mounting platform, it puts it at the correct angle just like spacing it up a bit in front. Notice I have also shortened the back rest pad mount so it doesn't sit so high, very comfortable.

I had one sold it, FEDEX lost it. Now have a Corbin, and like very much.

Dredging up this moderately old thread that started life a while ago... I found this place doing an internet search for info on the Touring Hammock seat.

My 1999 Ultra Classic is on the way out as I just bought a 2018 Ultra Limited. My 99 has (had) an old Air Zepplin and it was great. My BMW has a heated seat and the Heated Hammock caught my attention...but, I know what the Zepplin is like. I plan to ride the Limited as is for a while and then explore seats later. I will even see if my dealer has demo seats I can try out when the tundra thaws. But...

Who has ridden both the Zepplin and the Hammock and can comment on what they chose and why?
