Going thru some old pics, I ran across this one. I think it was 1994. Had never done anything like this before. I ordered a Paughco frame, bought a new EVO from HD and went to work. 3" Primo belt drive open primary. 4 speed tranny with kickstart. Cone mounted magneto with a battery eliminator, hence the kick start. Lots of billet, mid-glide. Six months later, the week I finished it, took it to the Make-A-Wish car show in Amarillo TX and won people's choice. Sold it to a kid who took it to the Boyd's Custom Wheel Show in LA and won 2nd place. Low profile rear sidewalls, rode rough as heck. Those were the days.

That is one righteous looking sled. Only thing I woulda done different is the wheels.
Back then, Aluminum Billett was all the rage. If it was today, I would have done a lot of things different.

Nothing from the ground up. I like to think outside the box though. I've been working on this adventure themed roadster. I don't golf, hunt, or anything but play with bikes.

Touratech?
You should join ADVrider. They love Harleys over there.

Ha! I'll go over there and roust them around. No, the "saddlebags" are Tusk. Cheap, $225.00 but well made, mounted with modified Easy Brackets. The trunk is from Jesse Luggage, an old one I've had. Touratech stuff is pricey.
Built this in '06,engine frame bought local, and a lot of stuff of ebay, some from Midwest,Mid-USA,etc.Few parts from an online swap section.[Cost a little over 7k]

Very Nice! Good job, and done rather inexpensively.
