I was born in Manhattan and raised in Queens then Nassau County. Still in Suffolk BUT I have to say upstate NY is one of my favorite places in the world. I snowmobiled in the Old Forge area for 25 years. We still visit Lake Placid every winter. Saratoga Springs is a gem of a town both in and out of racing season. Spending on day test riding bikes around Lake George at Americade is an annual ritual. Riding my FXDC through the Catskills makes me smile. The Finger Lake Region's vineyards are beautiful. Watkins Glen's Race Circuit is a fast and fantastic track to spend a day at. Then there's the Buffalo area. Never been to a place that's so nice in summer and hell in winter.

Yep I love upstate New York. Any of you folks who live up there and make a living are fortunate in my book.

Stopped for a sandwich here a little over a week ago in Berlin NY. A lot of open space up that way:

I was following Rte. 22 N, eventually veering off into VT when I got far enough north.
