I'm a big supertrapp fan. Would love to see how these new pipes sound. Like my supermeg pipe and the disc system but wish there was a stainless version
I have a 2003 Fatboy with Andrews 37 cams and a SE Heavy Breather. I just changed out my V&H Propipe to a D&D Fatcat. ALL I can say is WOW!!!!! The sound is similar except when I hit the throttle in the midrange, the Fatcat is a little deeper and a little louder, but the performance is waaaay better. I just made the change this weekend, my bike is carbureted and I have not had it on the dyno yet.
Thanks everyone. It seems like D and D is the way to go I've done a little research on YouTube and listen to the sound and I am highly impressed. But on the other side of the coin is there anything negative people could say about them
I've been researching exhausts for a while, had to wait on buying one.
Only bad thing I ever read against the D&D is that they were loud. And that seems to be debatable on who you ask. Someone just needs to hook a Db measurer up to all of them and make it clear, lol.
I have a 2013 SB and was looking for power as well. Bike came with a V&H long shots system. Did my homework like you. Was planning my build , wanted do cams later. Looked at D&D, V&H pro pipe $$$, Thunderheader and bassani road rage 3. Have bassanis on my bagger and like the sound. A little sharper and raspier than a traditional low growl HD sound. Definitely distinctive. Went with Bassani road rage 3 in stainless. It fits the bike perfect. FYI, cams really woke up this bike!

I have an 88CI, so I probably started with alot less than your 103, but changing from a Propipe to a Fatcat made just as much difference as my cams.
:-O
