I have one that I wear most of the time when I ride. I have my "colors" on the back, so I can represent.
If you can, try it on first. Get some vest "extenders"...those snap/chain gimmicks that make it bigger. They let in air in the summer and help if you wear it with a jacket.
Thanks for the quick feedback guys. I'm on an 06 FLHX so I'll probably shoot for the loose fit. The swat ll vest looks pretty cool. I'm also thinking about this one https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p...Vest?s=1118819
Although that vest looks great on the manakin, just think about this, when you sit on the bike your middle (gut) will expand, they all do....you can't keep the bottom snaps closed they will open up.....bedore you buy try it on the bike or squat down and see......
I belong to an American Legion Riders group, so my vest has patches all over it! I usually only wear it for ALR functions/events/rides, or when I wish to represent the ALR. Some of my riding buddies do not have vests, so I don't wear when I'm with them unless it is a ALR event. I strongly dislike those who try to be or look like something they are not. Not ashamed of my service or affiliation, just don't want to portray an image I'm not.
But..... I have the three snap version and have the extenders to help with the um, now snug fit!!
I've had my Fox Creek Leather vest for about 10 years now and it's been great. Wears very well and has actually gotten better over time. I highly recommend their products! Like others have said, its perfect for keeping my shirts from riding up, keeping my core warm in cooler weather and gives me some pockets in hot weather riding
I thought my harley vest fit small. Would go up a size. I recently got a crank and stroker, great quality, almost too heavy for hot days, customer service was great. I measured a shirt that fit great, and they measured several style vests to ensure good fit.
Second on fox creek leather, awesome quality and fit. While I am not in a club it serves a purpose of keeping my shirt from flapping around and extra pockets.
I have one I special ordered from Hillside. Made in the USA, horsehide leather, side laces, all pockets leather lined including two inside gun pockets. I use vest expanders when hot to allow air circulation. Nice vest. Has nickel snaps and no problem with them not staying snapped.
I have lots of vest -- I could only suggest to try them on before buying as the sizes run small and another will run large and how flexible it is on you , stiff leather is not very comfortable
And the woman loves a vest and a blue or white long sleeve shirt while riding
I have mostly Jean vest , and if it has no CCW pocket inside I know a Lady that will sew them in how ever I want , I don't like a gun inside my pants is why I have a lot of vest
