are you going to weld in some bunks then thread them?
Or did you just thread the buttoneads into the frame?
Started with these:
Drilled the holes (5/8"), then ground back the front and back sides of the holes a bit so the button head sat flush along the crown of the tube. Welded them in, the ground everything smooth.
Truth be told, the main reason for the grinding is that my skills with the new TIG welder are not so great (yet!), and the welds looked like crap.
Gonna need some practice (a lot of practice), but it's a start.
Was thinking about the tank location, and had a comment on my youtube video, and I think I screwed that up. I think I'm going to do it over, putting it further back. As it stands, the forks may hit it.
Oh well, at least that's the last mistake I'm going to make on this!!
Little more shaping on the brake bracket. Getting the spacers sorted was a fiddle. The legs on the frame pull together a bit when you tighten the axle, so it's slow going. Went ahead and put on the chain, mostly just for fun but also to verify alignment.
