Never thought of getting a bumper until my first road trip. I did not hit any curbs but came close enough to see their importance, so one is on order from Broadtracker. Plus i bought the turn signal extensions.

To help with the ride i ordered DK's Proaction shocks and comfort lift combo. I threw in the tank lift also plus the wind deflectors.

But being in Colorado mine is on life support anyhow (battery tender) but i am getting it tuned up for 7000 miles of road trips next year.

Put the footboard extensions from DK Customs on today and went for a short ride ( 25 degrees F). They went on easy, the only hiccup was finding the last bolt on the left side. They make for a much more natural foot placement. I think I will stay with the stock shift pegs. I like the footboard being open, but I am going to go with the extended brake pedal.

I don't love you anymore ................ The weather up this way just south of Dallas has sucked swamp water for the past several weeks.

That and his Comfort Lift kit were the first two installs to my trike. Makes a world of difference in riding comfort.

Also with me anyway, I find that my jeans don't rub against the gas tank and then ware the paint off, Like they did with my 11 T/G that didn't have the extensions..

We hauled her from -2 degree NW Ohio to 62 degree Gulf Shores AL, here for a month, then over to Slidell LA for a couple of weeks before slowly winding our way back up to the great white north after hitting Mardi Gras. It may not be in the 80's, but we intend to get a lot of riding in around here. The new enclosed trailer pulled behind the Grand Cherokee like a dream (well, unless you were watching the gas gauge!)

Oh, yeah, transport mode worked great, after three days in the trailer and 900 miles it only took 20 minutes for the charger to top off the battery. Very easy to do.

Plus all the trailer mods I made to hold stuff (lots of stuff) worked well, nothing fell on anything or broke loose.

Had to replace the battery. The stock battery lasted 2 1/2 years and 23,000 miles.

We were riding around our second day here, rainy at first but almost 70, when someone pulled up behind us in a Jeep as we were turning around at a dead end. The guy says call me, we'll ride together, and gave me his number.

Sun came out for the next 20 miles or so. We headed in and I called the guy; next AM we met up with him, another guy and a couple, all of us on Tri Glides, and we headed over to the Florida line for lunch; one fellow Ohio-an from Lima, a local guy and the couple was from Iowa; it sprinkled after lunch but that was it. A really nice 50 mile trip, and we got to see some of the back roads.

Nice to hook up with some fellow trikers, I'm sure we'll get quite a few rides in with them in the next month, I guess there are three more we didn't meet yet. Nice folks.
