Nothing beats the Recommended S/E filter and backplate upgrade! It completely fills the standard air ram cover with breathing, filter.Lifts the Exhaust note and tangibly improves throttle response.Comes with a cool Screaming Eagle insert replacement.
I like the design of the standard cover,so l modified the mounting points and refitted the front grill and lower cover.

I put this S+S stealth on and absolutely loved how it looked but the noise this thing put out killed it for me. S+S said it was intake reversion and nothing could be done about it. It looked so good I tried really hard to get over the noise but in the end it had to go, put the SE high flow back on.

Has anyone had any experience with the new SE Extreme Flow filter? I'm liking the look of it plus it looks like it flows well.

Here you go. Got the extreme flow and am happy with it. This thing moves all the air you'd ever need. Protrudes about an inch further than stock cover but I got used to it after a few rides. It seems noisy only because M8s are so quiet stock or with just slip-ons. I just swapped cams and I'm swapping my headers next week for RCX tormentors, and I doubt I'll be able to hear the AC then.

I had this on my 2007 Heritage. SE air cleaner along with the round HD cover plus an aluminator cover on top.

Thanks for the pics guys...My main concern is flowing enough air for the cams and second is the looks. I just can't make myself like the Heavy Breather style filter setup.

Two options. I changed out the SE Heavy Breather after doing some research that it doesn't flow as much air as some of the other popular air cleaners on the market. Ended up biting the bullet and buying the proven Trask Assault A/C. Hope this helps you.

I really like the look of the trask A/C but the price tag makes it a no go for me.

I do like looks of the Trask. I guessing you found it flowed better than the Heavy Breather? I read the new style HB doesn't flow like the old style.

Just curious how you like those CR460's? I'm considering those or the WM8-22x cams.
