hey there! yes i found the wide mustang seat comfortable over a long ride i did a 800 mile ride a few weeks ago and felt good after . unfortunately with the mustang i couldn't re-fit the tourpak box but i came across a suitable rack on ebay that was advertised as being off an early EVO ....iam not sure what model but iam sure someone on here will know..... My Mrs has only been on a short ride with the new set up but she reckons its a whole lot more comfortable than the comfort-flex, as it was too widefor her...as she is only 5'2''
you can see where the old rack fitted
the box is a quick fit with these spring loaded hooks...they do seize up and needed a little lube
looking at it not seeing it in person - my guess you need to move the tray back to the end hole set as the tour pack box will be to far forward the way it is
Luggage rack is from the early Heritage Softail models.
You may not be able to get the tour-pak on with the passenger seat in place, but if you take that off I think it will fit and then you can reinstall the passenger seat.
Thank you sir for posting, that is the rack I have just an older and funkier tour pak. So much going on in my home shop right now with bikes, not sure when I will get to this modification. Thanks.
