I think she learned something today. Cracked some plastic on the front of her trailblaser. Nothing serious. I didn’t yell or give her a hard time about. I think she was looking for sympathy and understanding when she called to tell me what happened. And that is what she got. Just something that happens living in the snowbelt
Kid that lives with his parents next door warms up his car 45 minutes to over an hour every time he goes out. Works about 3 miles away. Wouldn't be noticeable, but he put a "sporty" muffler on it when he got it (4 cyl VW). Also leaves it running sometimes when he gets home, even when he doesn't go back out for over an hour. If I did that for the distances I drive, I'd probably get less than 5 mpg.
I have the same problem, short commute means the truck idles more than it is driven..........If I don't idle it , the battery suffers and the engine does too ,long term.
