lol, that's just a cover on a stealth. gotta give it to s&s for milking that design.
It is indeed. Another question i have is is anyone running an s&s stealth with external breathers? How does that work with the backing plate design of the stealth ?

yeah, they've been acting up since "the Old guy" left, no more Bruce:
I went back and opted for the initial one I was looking at, a little more but still less than most and looks clean to me, K&N. I bought a rain sock a while ago for my existing filter and it was for this type, so assuming the intake won't come with one, I should be set now and have a use for that too. I'll post up pics once installed and find a garage heater, it's like 10* now and -11* with windchill here in Northern VA, not a riding day
You start to go too small and you'll run out of air before the bike can peak as the RPM's rise; don't choke off the bike. You need enough air, and the more you upgrade the engine, the more air you need to have available.
If you really want the 'whale dick', the DK Custom 636v is the only A/C to consider; the venturi effect is real
I have the 636 on my 1200..... it's an animal
Soon to add one on the Dyna

An inexpensive way out.... The AC off of a 2016 Street Bob. You can find them all over ebay. I'm 5'5" tall and with the stirrups my bike is very comfortable. With the original tear drop AC I had a hard time getting my leg around it and reaching the rear brake was difficult. I also put on a longer brake pedal.
Check out this report on Stage I upgrades, as they are not all the same. You'll see Dyno charts and very useful information in this link, worth the read for sure.
As suggested already, the Outlaw HiFlow 587 is The Lowest Profile A/C on the market. We usually suggest this one when the customer is mainly looking for more leg clearance. We also offer the largest variety of cover choices with this particular A/C.
