Greetings Greg, Stan, Al, Rick, Doc, Mark, and any other Woods out there I missed! -1 in the Motherland. Man....our heating bill will be insane. I wake up to the sound of money being burned every morning. That boiler never gets a rest lately.
Bathroom stories - awesome!
As an electrician long ago I had to work in one at a health club. The women loved it. Towels hit the floor by "accident" left and right, which unfortunately, was not a good thing.
Another time I walked into the can to wash my hands. Went right to the sink and was washing when out of the corner of my eye I saw a woman emerge from a stall, stop in her tracks, and slowly back into the stall and close the door very quietly. I thought "I guess she must have walked into the wrong bathroom" dried my hands, and walked out of the Ladies room.
Hahahaha ....Hi AL,
Just one story - at one point there were a series of questions upon what my personal goals had been...had I stayed and some changes I would make. My reply, without missing a beat was "please read my annual self-evaluation over the last 4 years, it will answer all those questions..... and pick any year's submission because I turned in the exact same self-evaluation 4 years in a row!" (they never even looked at them) LOL
I would imagine they figured you were serious at that point. Ouch.
Saddest thing is, I can't say it's different anywhere else.

Hi Bob,
I gave my first presentation in 1981 and worked my first trade show in 1982. I'm seriously getting close to old-fartage LOL.
I've had 5 main employers in that time and there is a wide range of employer perspectives in that mix.
I've worked for some wonderful companies and a couple that sucked. The main difference in my opinion is superior performance was encouraged and expected by those entities that genuinely cared about the employee and understood the value of a human resource. Naturally those companies are only as good as the people that manage them, and set a positive pace.
Warm-Fuzzy....I know, but it works IMO.
