Beth and the kids went to get Mexican for dinner as I was driving home, so I was the first one home. I pull in the drive way and take my laptop inside and I can hear sirens nearby. As I come back out to grab my lunch box I see the Fire Chief parking at the intersection in front of my house, then the fire engine pulled up IN FRONT of my house! One of the firemen get out, grabs his gear and starts walking up my drive and notices he is 1 house off.
Neighbor had a dryer fire but they are all fine. Even offered for them to come over to hang out if they needed to get away from the smoke, which wasn't bad. The husband is DPD and was at work so he had to rush home and I helped him carry the offending appliance down the stairs and set it out in the drive way.

Years ago my neighbor called work to tell us our house was on fire. I hauled *** home to find the garage behind my property fully engulfed. My neighbor who called me was perfectly aligned below and in line with my house to not see my house but saw smoke and flames
