OP I think Heartland makes wide tire kits for Harleys.
You might give them a call.

Right on. Ya I bet there is no clearance lol. I was already going to cut down bolts to free up space in there. Already redid the wiring and it's flat against the fender. How much fabricating just the fender horns? I would want to use the stock swing arm. I can weld and fan no prob. Just don't want to spend tons of money like they want for wide tire kits. If be happy with a 160-180. What pulley and belt ? EBay shims?

My 2 cents, the 150 looks real good under the stock fender because there is no space. Makes it look bigger then it is, optical illusion and all of that.

Of course lowering the bike helps as well.

Nice bike. I hear ya on the 150 and it might just be enough to satisfy me lol. I'm having a he'll of a time locating the harley kit for the skinnier belt. What are my options? Pulley from a 2000 ish and a 1 1/8 belt? Is that enough for the 150? Or pulley from 2007 and a 1 inch belt ? I noticed too some people reuse the original rear pulley and shim it out instead ? When you stuffed the 150 in there could you use the original fender mounting bracket that goes behind the fender ? What lowering springs... I'm 325 lbs. I'd love to lower it

The purpose of the kit I mentioned before is that HD changed the bolt pattern when they went to the four piston brakes. So a pulley from a 2003 will not fit your wheel. You fix that by getting a 2003 wheel. Can of worms is open.

You can see form my pic that my 1997 has four piston caliper. What I did was eBay a swing arm and caliper, but then reused my wheel, axle, rotor and spacers. People will tell you the rotor will not work, it has been there for over 10 years and stops great. But you could keep going and get the newer wheel, rotor and pulley. It should all bolt up. I do not remember the years, they went from a standard diameter axle to a metric size, stay away from the metric size and you will be OK.

The pulley at the transmission does not change, the belt is much smaller stock or modified. But you still need to pull the inner primary to change the belt.

For me though, I would go to a good dealership. The parts guys usually keep the older "Parts and Accessory" books, see if they have one from the early 2000's. If you can find the kit and the part # now you have something to search for either via the MoCo or the Bay. My guy did a dealer search and found one in Iowa, they shipped it to him and we were good.

I wish I had more for you, I myself have not been able to find the part # again, but I am damn sure it exists. Pic of the other side so you can see the belt:

right on thank you. Ya I'll have to keep doing some digging. What about reusing the stock pulley and swimming it out , no dice? The skinnier belt is it as strong ? ( not like I'm putting down big number lol but still ) and is there a need for the swing arm replacement ? Mine is chrome and I believe isn't stock but could be... I don't mind doing the Labour but def trying to save every dollar (laid off in the winter )

Stock front pulley. Rear pulley was custom made. No problems with the 3/4" pulley.

Tried using the pulley for the 1 1/8" belt when I had a 150, but the belt rubbed on the rear tire at times and eventually got "lost."

You can get aftermarket 4-piston rear brake caliper...no need for a new swing arm, unless you want to drop weight and they look cool.

Hey greenohawk, I have a 93 dyna wide glide and I am wanting to do a similar set up of a 120/70-21 on the front and a 180/55-18 on the back. I found the wheels I plan on getting but want to know what I am getting myself into. what modifications did you have to make to fit the 180 rear tire?

You really need to look in the EVO forum.

I ordered from the Bay a 2003 Parts and Accessories catalog, should be here this weekend. Hopefully I can find the part # in that book. If it is there, I will post the # and a pic of the page.
