You are absolutely correct this gauge should be standard OEM; I love this thing. I'd better up my image game

Yeah I should get one of those things you press on in case I get hit...

Help, I've fallen and I cant get up! lol

I havent ridden the Harley in over a year. I took a lot of stuff apart on it back in December 2016 then had two strokes in Feb 2017. So it's been down a long time. Man this ride is going to be great!!! Supposed to be 62 degrees tonight.

I've already started collecting parts for the next round of upgrades, mods, etc.

Installed my new TBR exhaust yesterday! I'll get a pic up today. Wasn't able to change the map on my tuner yet but seems to be running great still.. EXCEPT at about the point that I should shift, especially in 2nd, I'm getting a bad vibration through the whole bike. Is that normal for a "bigger" pipe? Or would that be a result of a bad map for the pipe? I came from a vance and hines big radius and never had any vibrations at all. 2007 FXDB

Talking Busy week...

Got a lot done this week. I replaced the original short, as in loud baffle in my Vance and Hines Propipe with their "Quiet Baffle". The old shorty was just 9" about 7 of which was actually sound deadening material. The new Quiet {long} baffle is 2' long and most of that is the sound reduction wrap. While the DB's didn't drop all that much the sound is a much lower and deeper as in pleasing to my ear.

My bride, riding buddies, and neighbors all noticed a huge improvement and it still sounds reasonably badass to me. I just reflashed the tune on my V&H FP3 Fuelpak Tuner to reflect the baffling change and I am good to go. Can't discern any drop in performance.

Rolled over another 5,000+ miles last week, time for another oil and filter change. It has been 10,000 since I changed the transmission and primary so all three got done this morning. I'll be riding to San Diego in ten days weather permitting, and that is likely the way this non winter has gone so it was good to get these maintenance items checked off.

Added Magnum Black Pearl clutch and brake cables last night. Couldn't find cables for the rear brake. Washed and waxed the bike today and added a battery bag by BAD&G.

A snow day .......... 14" on Thursday.

Good day today , to fart around in the workshop.

I had a spare S&S air cleaner cover .

Using my rotary table I slotted and opened up some windows to increase the air flow of my newly hand crafted air filter........... sanded & glass beaded the chrome , sprayed with wrinkle paint.

I took a couple of hours to carefully carve this away, initially I was gonna go with a bunch of 1/4" slots , that changed three sizes of windows.

Sanded and glass beaded

Sprayed with Harley Wrinkle paint , jerks at the dealership charge $30 / can !!!

The hand crafted part of all of this that inspired a higher flowing cover.........
