Next mission was finding some light in a dark world!! Definitely wanted to find a cool 7 inch daymaker headlight. Harley only wants $450 for theirs@$#@%@^@#^
AMAZon to the rescue!! Getting my nickels worth outta the prime membership/
Dot Approved 7Inch Black LED Daymaker Headlight $59 just needed to buy the conversion cable H13 to H4
I added a little Gansta look with a headlight visor. It is a nice touch
You ever wonder why HD stuffs the floorboards up under the bike so much?? I got tired of strattling the gas tank and squeezing my 12 boots on the floorboard. I bought a pair of extenders that move the floorboards out 1 inch. You not think that 1 inch would make that big difference. Just ask my wife! lol
This makes this much more comfortable on long rides
Hey Chili. Loving the blow by blow. Thanks. Do you have a pic from the back - wanted to see the look with one pipe.
I ended putting a ghost pipe on there to fill the hole. It cost an extra 320 bucks but looks great
Notice how clean the tips are on the left side? I will say that this pipe has gotten louder over the last few weeks as I've burned some some of the packing
Surprised no one has used the ghost pipe as a form of extra storage !
looking sharp bud
But they do. Coming out of Mexico.
Bike looks better every time you post up pics OP. Great job!!! I would have gone with Factory 47 but couldn't find them in a gar to bar end I like which is 32". Have Avon grips on my Road King and will probably put them on my Road Glide. Guess I better order a set now so they can go on at the same time as the bars and the other stuff being added.
The RKS does have the wiring set up for heated grips. I found an extra wire and found out it was for heated grips. If you live in a world were that is nice to have... I live in So cal
I have never owned a blacked out bike before. Always knew I would not like everything blacked out, too muck black is boring. Just as too much chrome is boring. The RKS has some subtle chrome pieces. I have started adding some pieces that break up the all black. Love the deep cut billet alum doo dads and thingamajigs.
Lets face it black is a SOB to keep clean, especially when it comes to components. It does look bitchen when it is clean!
this w3eek I added some saddlebag latch covers and new streamline shifter pegs
On with my theme of adding some bling factor while keeping the performance and comfort of this machine. On my 2010 SG I got too cute and swapped out some of the practical functional pieces like comfortable floorboards for deep cut alum with minimal rubber shock/ vibration/dampening, or tuff guy hwy pegs with no rubber for grip! Looked cool as hell, but paid the price in long ride comfort.
Always felt this bike would look cool as hell with some red accent pieces. .....
