Correct, and a much more aggressive cam profile than the torque cam, they arent stock replacement lifters I dont think. If i wasnt installing the 222 cam or the S&S 475 I would definetly be doing lifters too, I just dont think its completely necessary with this case but well see

I agree with you 100% if I switched cams today I use the same ones or go to gm and get 4
I get what you're saying and don't think you were rude. I've got one of the top engine builders in the country close to me, who I talk to all the time. Besides him and even a few of the dealers I frequent, they all say to swap the lifters if you're in there or adding mods to the bike. I trust them, so I spend the few extra $$$. As for the warranty, I should have clarified those parts/work won't be covered under your 2yr warranty, but the dealer should/most likely will honor their work and the parts will have whatever warranty HD offers on the parts.
As for the big bore, I've been debating this back and forth, pros and cons. I have not experienced any sumping or transfer issues to date. Bought my bike last May and have around 7k on it. Another member here had the FM 117" kit on his bike and said he had 0 problems from the bike but his bike transferred before he did the build. Another member here mentioned the possibility of HD's big bore kits possibly causing the sumping issue due to some of the possibly being out of round on the cylinders. I've been back and forth with what to do and was decided on swapping cams again as the 447 torque cam at 92/107 just pisses me off, but I can't see spending money on another cam. FM is supposed to be developing a big bore kit around the cams they just tested to be released around March or so.....food for thought.
Yeah most of the dyno graphs Ive seen show about a 15hp peak gain and a 10-15 ft lb gain. ROUGHLY. The peak numbers arent much better but I saw a dyno graph of the 447 cam over the stock cam and it sold me. It gives you some more top end so you can actually rev out to redline without it falling on its face past 4000rpm. I figured its a cost effective temporary upgrade that wont void my warranty until I can do a big kid build.
Well here's one of mine with 7k on it changed them out for S &S
Yeah theres some discoloration on there, looks like your engine might of gotten a little warm at some point. its your bike if it makes you happy the by all means change them. I havent taken any M8s apart but really that could be normal, Ive reused many bearings in semi truck hubs that had light discoloration. Granted this is different but light discoloration is tough, you could go either way on it I think. I do see you did the CR460 cam, I would of changed lifters if I was going to a cam like that. It probably has much more aggressive ramps on it than the Screamin eagle one.
