Looks like I'm the odd man out here but I took a 2017 ultra low out while my bike was being serviced and the heat from that beast was almost unbearable, I could not believe the heat difference compared to my 2017 SGS without lowers. I'm sure they would be nice in the winter and rain but no way I could personally run them in any kind of heat. The crash bar was the first thing I removed from my bike so I don't have anywhere to mount them anyway. You can find Vivid black lowers for $199 if black is your color.
This forum SUCKS!!!!!! For crying out loud, I wanted an RGU but when I was ready to but they only one available was butt ugly color in baby **** green/brown. That same bike still sits in the dealership 7 (?) months later.
So I settled (very happily) on a 17 RGS and have spent a ton on stuff since. Close to a grand worth of stuff sitting downstairs next to bike that just came this week. Now I have to look at lowers, and add speakers as well? Crikey, researching upgrade for stereo amp and speakers now but have been looking at 2 channel. Now I need to look at 4 channel?
Put them on my '17 Street Glide Special, I like! These are the EBAY cheapies out of China, and the paint is decent, however if I did it over again I'd go OEM Harley and spend the extra for them. The H-D ones are better made by quite a bit.

The flip side is for us cold and wet countries the lowers really rock - we might get a few really hot days per year but thats it. Mine will arrive with lowers fitted
