I have new respect for metal polishers...even with air tools and a bench buffer this is laborious to get right. I finally decided this was good enough..wasn't going on a concours bike.
Side case was on EBAY, off a 1967 Harley 350. It was pretty grimy when I got it. The Clock is quarts from Mercedes Benz, a promotional unit they did 20 years ago to commemorate the 300SL Gullwing - it looks period and was the right size.
A 72mm oil seal holds the clock into the case. Mounted in my bicycle workshop / winter man-cave in the basement. Fun little project, but polishing is HARD to do right.
