Ok, I know its not original, but after seeing all the color threads I couldnt help myself. So only after I bought her did someone someone kindly inform me of the superstition surrounding green bikes. Had I known beforehand I still would have made the same choice, I think its sharp. Who else is tempting fate with me?
I heard that old BS a few years ago when we were getting my wife's bike painted. She didn't opt for green.
I was very close to going with some type of green. But since the bike was originally Concord Purple Pearl I opted for a color shift paint. Varying shades of both purple and green depending upon the angle it's viewed from and how the light is hitting the paint. Photos never do it any justice.

I've been around bikes for 50 years and have never heard of a superstition about green bikes. What is it?
Nobody really got into specifics with me, local service manager just told me that it's supposed to be bad luck in general. I'd never heard of it until a couple of years ago either.
